Counselling at Clever Humans offers a space to think, feel, and make sense of what’s happening ,without needing to simplify yourself. Whether you are dealing with something specific, or a more general sense that things aren’t quite right, counselling can help you move forward with greater clarity, stability, and choice.

When counselling might help

People come to counselling for many reasons.You might be:

  • Living with the impact of trauma or difficult life experiences

You don’t need to have a diagnosis or a clear explanation.If something isn’t sitting right, that is enough.

Human-informed counselling

At Clever Humans, counselling is human informed and trauma infomed

This means we understand how experiences - both obvious and subtle — can shape:

  • How you think

  • How you feel

  • How your body responds

  • How you relate to others

Difficult experiences and trauma are not always one event.they can also be:

  • Cumulative

  • Relational

  • Difficult to name

Counselling provides a space where this can be explored safely and at your own pace.

How counselling works

Counselling offers a consistent, confidential space where you can:

The process is collaborative and responsive to you.There is no pressure to be a certain way or to move faster than you are ready for.

Sessions are offered online or in person, depending on your preference. We have Spaces available in the Milton Keynes or Bedford areas for in person sessions..
